After shooting a CP 370 I was hooked, and headed to Dicks for one of my own. Before getting there I read this article which made me want to check out the 380 too. I ended up getting the 380 for under $300 . What sold me on the 380 was the balance of the crossbow. It is very easy to hold steady on a target. The only con I have is the safety is way is too loud for hunting. I plan on contacting CP and / or was wondering if someone here as fix.
I was told by someone with similar issue. His crossbow would allow you to switch safety on and off. He added some gun oil and really work into the safety and moved it back and forth and that made the safety silent plus easy to switch back and forth. Just a thought. I don't have your model. Might try it to see if it helps.

There is a little screw on the top of the trigger box right under the back of the scope. This screw has a little spring under it that puts pressure on the safety. I cut the spring off a little bit and it made the safety alot easier and quieter. Could put a washer under the screw head to take some tension off the spring.

I'm new and therefore late to the thread but I just bought a 380 and love it. First thing I noticed on the bow was how well it balanced. What shafts and broadheads are you shooting in yours? I've found that if you ease the safety forward with thumb and forefinger instead of snapping it off, it's silent.

If that Tormentor is HALF the bow the Sniper and Specialist is then you have a GOOD 'UN! I do like the fact of shooting a bit heavier arrows too...to help take care o0f the crossbow limbs (not saying they need it but it surely doesn't hurt). And....like that jeep AND the target youre shooting too.:) Looks like you have everything you need to kill a truckload of deer and get 'em home.;)
