They never gave the weights of the arrows they shot. For the VitalX430, the speed rating is for the Hyperlite arrow(370) but included are the Hyper arrows (388). On their speed comment, they didn’t mention that. A far greater discrepancy is the 515 at 488. I remember (I think) that the Nitro 470 got “470” with a 370g arrow but the manual stated not to shoot an arrow lighter than 400g!😳

The X1 should be included in the running. 20 yards!!?

Agreed with HT I see a lot of wrong information listed. This is why I pay no attention to b s reviews from most places.
Just going on one of the bows I’m very familiar with raptor they state you have to use the 204 small arrow. Wrong not correct and I did confirm this with Barnett today and an individual that I know very well that has shot the 2024 model before replying to this post.
And I find extremely hard to believe anyone could not do better than a two inch group at 40 yards. Possibly but highly not probable.
One would think if a magazine is going to doe reviews they could at least get basic information correctly such as price.
Not trying to be a jerk but just shows what kind of operation they run. And people pay for there crap.😂😂😂😂

Well said Brother...well said

The 2024 models are supposed to have updated cams. Have you seen one or shot one of the new ones or just going off last year model???? Please share if you know something we don’t.
No, unfortunately, I had a model that was manufactured in October of 23. 60 shots and the cables were starting to fray the servings. I had a "delayed trigger release" which produced and unexpected discharge. That was an end game for me. I think this bow has great promise, but the drawbacks were totally unacceptable. I got a refund and bought an X1.

Kinda what I thought . You bought x1 and had to work on it also eating cables. Not sticking up for any brand but be honest and don’t state implied false truth. Is what I’m saying.

Yes I’m serious the article said crossbow review not arrow review. Or maybe you were just messing around and being sarcastic like we do and it zipped right over my head.
Having gone through many sets of factory arrows with subpar results (my opinion) and inconsistencies I havent had a crossbow yet that didnt shoot better with custom built arrows. I didnt comprehend the difference until I tried my first custom built set, its probably more a test of the factory arrows than the crossbows themselves regardless of what the article states.

Raptor 410 for best beginner crossbow? 😳 Must be Barnett gave them one with all the updates! 😃
Agree, unless you do your own mods makes zero sense. I question several of the Xbows on that list as well.

Like how many Ten Point TX series are out there to be shot.

I seriously doubt there is any accuracy difference between any of the above xbows at 40 yards. Gonna have to stretch it out to at least 60 and probably further than that.
Facts! You can extend that to 60-70 yards and if you have optimized arrows the difference will be negligible which is a moot point since most kills are in the 20-40 yard range. Nothing but marketing 101. Pay the money you get on the list. Yea, I'm cynical.

I not only do not believe the accuracy claims but the DB shot levels seem highly unlikely as well. Lists Vital 430 X as best under $500.00 ,then shows price as $599. Then says $450 in article.Obviously confusing it with the original Vital X. Has Ravin as most accurate even tho it supposedly shot 1 inch groups while some how Tenpoints were all touching. This magazines biased lean to TenPoint has never been well disguised. They are a joke.

I was Flight Commander for Air Force Recruiters spanning 3 States. My job was to make sure applicants were treated fairly...never lied to etc. I can say in 3 years no one was ever caught lying. But they did stretch the truth on occasion🤷‍♂️

maybe they are truth stretching?
