So the problem I am having with the fold down grip on the raptor is it's very loose in movement forward to backward I've noticed the do-it-yourself nylon washer but does that only correct the left to right movement as I would think adding a spacer in there would do? My excessive movement is forward and back is this normal?
I would contact Tree-rat or send it back. New Hyper Raptor BCX coming out this fall

CS from Barnett contacted me yesterday per my email query about the Hyper Raptor BCX release date. I was informed 8/2024 is the release date. Hope this helps. Also, was told in a previous phone call from Barnett CS they will be offering a cam upgrades for Gen1 Hyper Raptor owners, August 2024.

If anyone plans to shoot Gen1 Hyper Raptor with the V groove cams it's critical you use Scropion Venom wax and apply the wax on the all cable contact points after every 15 shots to extend the cable life. If you don't these cables will be prematurely damaged within 15-30 shots. See my link how to apply the wax on the cams until the cam upgrades are available. I estimate per HuntersThompson use with these cams (not modified) at around 100 plus shots. Not optimal but at least you can get to 100 shots until the upgrade process starts in August 2024.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for doing this review and torque test. The mileage you put on this crossbow has been great to read. What you have done and all the input others have posted. Have taught many of us new to this website a great deal. I’ve hunted with a crossbow for many years. Been researching for a new one. I have a 2010ish Barnett predator and now I’m looking to upgrade. Old faithful has been with me the second owner for 13 years. Think this might be worth upgrading.
