Hi Rex, thanks for your respose. I may have spoken to you on the phone once, as well as Jim. But again you say SOON what is Soon? How about a solid date like 08-01-11 or whatever the true confirmed shipping date will be. I have heard soon and 2-3 weeks since May and those soons never came to pass. I think you made my point!

LT. Dan

The 150 limbs are to be shipped toward the end of the week. They will have to be camo dipped and then shipped to our shop. I am hoping they will be at our shop witnin two or three weeks lets hope sooner. Like I stated yesterday that we have had several calls about the 150 limbs so if you are interested in the SLP 150 you need to call Jim are me to get your order in to reserve your SLP 150. There is only a limited number of sets in the last run of limbs so soon as they get to the shop they will not last. Hope I have answered your question today and hope to be hearing from you soo.

Thanks again,
Rex

Question? Why hasn't the issue with the ADF on the 165 been resolved? Will the 150 limbs still cause it? Talked to Jim on mine. It's still got the ADF in it and I'm starting to have the claw rebound issue. Not every shot but more frequently. I know a lot feel a ADF is important and obviously Jim does too or it wouldn't have been created and still implemented on the 130.

So it there a fix in the works?
And a test on the 150 limbs not causing ADF issues?

I talked to Jim about a getting a 150 with the ADF. He is concerned a person may upgrade a 125 or 150 to a 165 and then have ADF issues. So I don't think the ADF issues come up with a 150, only the 165. I'm on the fence between 150 and a 130. The ADF is important to me so I may have to go with the 130.But I really don't want to.

Same here on the ADF. Without going into a bunch of details I got mine right at the time the ADF issue was discovered. I told Jim I didn't want the 165 if it didn't have the ADF. I may talk to him on the 150. I really don't want a 130 if had I would have just got the 125.

I don't understand why a damper of some sorts or a stronger spring isn't used to stop the recoil and bouncing on the claw. I mean how hard can it be to fix? I'm just guessing here that the spring on mine is a little weaker and it's doing it more. Just a guess on my part and I haven't had it apart to look.

Guess it's phone time come Monday.

I have wanted a SLP 150 since it was placed on Scorpyd website. I called and e-mailed several times to purchase one. Jim never had any limbs all summer. Looks like its now going to be built. A SLP 150 with ADF would be even better. I feel much better with a ADF bow. Lets keep calling and posting Jim and Rex, and convince them to build the SLP 150 with ADF. IMO, Scorpyd is the best x-bow on the market, the 150 SLP with ADF would be the best Scorpyd ever built.
I have waited this long, a little longer for a SLP 150 with ADF, I ready to own one, if Jim builds one.

And the lets just remove it and call it fixed move isn't what I expected either. Giving up or a compromise isn't acceptable.

The ADF on the 165 a couple of pounds off the weight and the critics would have nothing to say bad about it.

I was hoping to see a post from Jim or Rex about the SLP 150 ADF, I guess not. It just seems to me, they just dont really care about customer feedback or building a new x-bow that people want to buy. Jim seems content with his 130 and 165 x-bows and not motivated to expand the line.

Hi Rex - I'm sure your watching all this. This ADF stuff could be answered on a monthly newletter. I'm sure in the coming weeks there will be a rush of new buyers as the season gets closer. More information on your products could result in more sales.

Hi Tom,

Sorry guys but I have been on business trips and a trip south for a few days and havent got online lately. I know that several crossbows doesnt have the ADF. Jim is concerned about the complaints that you guys have and I am sure that one day all the Scorpyds will have the ADF. Jim is working on that issue so give him time and one day this issue will no longer be a complaint.

mabe it cost to much to have suplyers change there setup.prob wouldn.t be cheape an mite not be enough custermers wanting a change.

JWG,

You are absolutely right. It takes weeks to make changes come to life. The cost associated with any change to the bows is not an easy process. This is not an easy process and one that is time and cost consuming.

we take customer feed back seriously and when its something that we can change to better our product we make every effort possible to accomplish that task. Dan it isnt an over night process it does take time. I will keep everyone updated on all issues.

Thanks for you patience,

Rex

Do you have a possible time frame on a fix? I know it can be hard or impossible to tell when a problem can be solved but is it something being worked on now or just something on the back burner that "one day we're going to fix that "?

Do you know that cause or why it does it?

When I spoke with Jim about this last year, he thought he isolated the problem with the ADF to one or more springs. At the time, he said there was no way to just drop in the spec spring that he thought might fix the problem because there wasn't enough room in the spaces where they'd go. Either the springs he thought might fix the ADF issues were fatter or longer or both... I don't remember.

So, I'm not holding out on a drop-in fix for the ADF for my RDT165, though I wouldn't doubt that a future design would be able to incorporate lessons he learned.

And that's exactly what I thought. My spring like most springs got slightly weaker over time and now it's worse. I was thinking of a felt washer or other washer to put a dampening effect on it. If it's got a slight resistance to move then the spring in effect will be stronger. If you can slow down the rebound effect just a bit it will go away.
